My Rating: ⭐️⭐️

Satan’s Affair leaves much to be desired in the execution of it’s story, exposition, writing style, and dialogue.

This is a short horror-erotica novella that is intended to be a setup for Haunting Adeline and Hunting Adeline but seems to have almost nothing to do with the duet aside from a quick appearance of a character named Zade.

I liked what the story and character were *meant* to be, but the writing style is young, unpolished, and janky. The story is full of contradictions and missing information that could have made it more immersive. It feels like it was written by a high-schooler still getting the grasp of storytelling.

If you just want a quick, gory book with some solid smut scenes in it then definitely give it a read, but if you’re like me and want the writing style to feel like it was written by an adult with an eye for structure and maturity in writing style then I’d say skip this one.
